POSICON: powerful positioning control with NORD frequency inverters

Applications which require relative or absolute positioning control (e.g. rotating platforms, linear movement axes or synchronized positioning) can be quickly and economically implemented with NORD standard asynchronous motors and frequency inverters. The drive specialist NORD supplies several series of inverters with integrated POSICON intelligent positioning, which in many cases can even replace servo solutions. The positioning control provides a wide range of functions, is easy to operate and can easily be parameterized without any knowledge of complex programming languages.

Various models of the SK 500E series are available with a POSICON module. For example, the compact SK 530E includes many valuable features which allow users to implement cost-effective positioning solutions in combination with an asynchronous motor. Designed for price-sensitive applications, the motor-mounted SK 200E series is one of the first series of decentral frequency inverters to include POSICON positioning control as a standard basic feature. Up to now, decentralized servo solutions were necessary. The NORDAC SK 700E frequency inverter for medium and high power ranges is also available with an optional POSICON module.
